CT Danubiana, Tuesday October 7th
Early in the morning we went to the Environmental Protection Agency of Piatra Neamț, capital of the regional county. There the scientists presented us the environmental data that they have to control with the means at their disposal: the CO2 and the pollutants related to local industries, and also the radioactivity of the ground of some Northern parts of Romania since the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
In the afternoon, we visited the gorges of the Bicaz and of the Roçu Lake. The Bicaz is a river whose gorges - real vertical walls and great tourist attraction - separate 2 famous areas of Romania: Transylvania, Dracula's country, and Moldavia.
